This means just because a person seems to have a lot of flashy things, doesn’t mean they are successful. Often we look at the surface of things. People may project an image but the fruit of what they do and who they are isn’t as good as the image portrays. People can seem to have it all together but in reality, they don’t. Parents may look to be and example of success because they children who are successful doctors and lawyers, however their relationships aren’t great. Their home life could be a cold and unloving. Other parents may not look so great because their children are failing left and right, however those children are loved at home and have a good relationship with their families. So many people can have flashy cars and big homes, but they also can have a mountain of debt and empty hearts.
