This proverb about life is about how we view failure. Success will involve failure at some point. How we recover really matters. We can take our experiences and learn from them or we can take failure and become bitter. In other words, we can become a sore loser or a gracious loser. Handling loss and failure with grace requires us to be humble and mature so we can rise again with valuable information to improve upon. We also need to see when or if failing at something is a sign to change directions. Continuing to fail because of bad decisions means we need to stop making the same bad decisions and learn from our failures.
