“In the moment of crisis, the wise build bridges, and the foolish build dams. ” – A Nigerian proverb

“In the moment of crisis, the wise build bridges,
and the foolish build dams. “
– A Nigerian proverb

This proverb encourages us to connect with each other instead of excluding one another. A bridge allows people to communicate, create communities and move freely to reach help. A dam blocks communication, it stops anything from going in or out. In a time of crisis we usually need help. A bridge allows us to get help, whereas a dam would block help, or make it difficult to get help. No one wants to have to climb a wall to get to a destination if they have a straight path through. If a dam breaks it also causes immediate danger to those near it and eventually affect those far away from it. Let’s continue to build bridges and help one another instead of dams to block others out.

Have a great bridge building day
